About
Get ready for Kentucky’s political “Super Bowl”! The Kentucky State AFL-CIO is heading to Western Kentucky to officially launch our Labor 2026 political program at the historic 2026 Fancy Farm Picnic. Held annually on the first Saturday in August, the Fancy Farm Picnic is famous for its high-stakes political theater, legendary "stump speaking," and over 19,000 lbs of world-record barbecue. With veteran TV sports anchor Dave Baker serving as this year's Master of Ceremonies, the political speaking portion of the picnic is the perfect stage to make the voices of working families heard loud and clear. We are calling on you to get involved and stand with us. This Union P.O.W.E.R. Week of Action event is an opportunity to highlight the labor movement's commitment to protecting our democracy while engaging union members in our Labor 2026 program. Whether you are coming for the politics, the camaraderie, or to support the St. Jerome Catholic Church fundraiser, your participation is vital to building our union strength for the upcoming elections. Let’s show up in strong numbers, stand united, and kick off Labor 2026!
