About

July 7th, 2026, Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was shot and killed by Immigration and Customs enforcement in an unmarked vehicle while driving himself and his coworkers to work in the early hours of the morning in Houston, Texas. The Department of Homeland Security later stated that they were not looking for Lorenzo Salgado, but another man that resembled him and his vehicle. DHS has also claimed that Lorenzo Salgado attempted to ram his vehicle into ICE agents. However, there is no body cam footage of the claim and the three other men, who were detained by ICE, inside the vehicle claimed this was an untrue account. One of Lorenzo’s children, his son Ronalado Salgado, was only informed of his father's death through social media posts and a news article. Days following, Sebastián Durán Guerrero was shot and killed in Biddeford, Maine during a traffic stop by ICE on his way to work. The ICE agent responsible for the shooting claimed that they “feared for public safety,” and opened fire into the vehicle of Sebastián Guerrero. Though there has not been body cam footage nor a reason provided by the agent or the DHS for this “fear for public safety.” Again, Guerrero was NOT the intended person that ICE was searching for. The next day, after the shooting of Sebastián Guerrero, in St. Augustine, Florida, four occupants fled their vehicle and one of the men was struck and killed by a tractor trailer during a traffic stop by ICE, according to Florida Highway Patrol officers. The driver, as well as a veterinary nurse, attempted to render aid to the man but he died at the scene. This rally is intended to demand investigation into all fatal ICE shootings. The demand for identification, identifying clothing, vehicles, and body cameras. The demand for Immigration and Law enforcement, and the agents responsible for the killings listed above, to be held LEGALLY accountable for illegal, violent, and fatal actions.
