Voting Rights are Under Attack

Generations of Americans have fought to have a say in our country’s future, and we cannot take these rights for granted. In recent years, key provisions of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965 have been dismantled, opening the door to discriminatory practices that disenfranchise voters and jeopardize voting rights for all citizens. Come join the One Million Rising Alliance at Leisure World as we, in solidarity with the League of Women Voters on this *Unite and Rise for Voting Rights* National Day of Action, protest the attacks on voting rights. Join us at the same location as our usual weekly demonstrations (Georgia Avenue outside Leisure World), and at the same starting time (2:30pm), but stay for an extra hour to 4:30pm. Bring your signs. Bring your voice. Bring a neighbor. Let's make ourselves seen and heard! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
