De-Flock ILM: Speak Out to Take The Cameras Down

Get the Flock out! Flock cameras and other AI-mass surveillance cameras are taking over our communities. These cameras, which are owned by a private company, are connected to a nationwide network which can be searched by undisclosed entities and agencies with no warrants, no oversight, and no real accountability. On Monday, August 17, we have an opportunity to let the New Hanover County Commissioners know the people won't stand for mass surveillance with our data sold to the highest bidder. Join Indivisible Wilmington, DeFlock ILM, and other local groups to rally against these invasive cameras and then - this is the really important part - make your voice heard at the County Commissioners meeting! Each speaker will have 3 minutes to make their case against these dangerous cameras. WHAT: DeFlock ILM: Protect Your Privacy WHEN: Monday, August 17 | Rally at 3:00, Commissioners meeting at 4:00 WHERE: 24 N 3rd St, Room 301 | Historic Courthouse LEARN MORE AT https://deflockilm.org/ *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
