What is Palantir Doing in Honolulu? - Protest in Honolulu (O’ahu)

About
In September 2025 Palantir Technologies quietly opened an office in downtown Honolulu and has since been actively recruiting engineering employees. Hawaiʻi residents concerned about human rights should find this development troubling. Palantir provides tracking and location mapping technology to U.S. immigration authorities that has been used in deportation efforts and to police departments for surveillance and data analysis. Its technologies have been accused by such organization as Amnesty International and the United Nations of contributing to alleged violations of human rights during Israel's war in Gaza. As a result, some public officials, charities, and financial institutions have declined donations from or ended relationships with Palantir. Anyone concerned about civil liberties, human rights, and government accountability should consider whether companies with Palantir's record align with the values they want represented in Hawai'i. Take action by joining Indivisible Honolulu, Hawai’i J20+, the Oahu Rapid Response Coalition (ORRC), and ACLU-Hawai’i to protest Palantir's presence in Hawai’i. Bring your voice and signs to let everyone know what is happening in our ohana. Location: Pacific Guardian Center, 737 Bishop St., Honolulu. Meet at the corner of Bishop & Queen Streets, near the building's Mauka Tower.
