Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada
About
Join CODEPINK Las Vegas, in collaboration with local anti-war organizations, including the local chapter of Veterans For Peace, for a protest outside Nellis Air Force Base, urging military personnel to refuse illegal orders in drone operations targeting Iran. As always, wear pink! Meet at intersection near main entrance of Nellis Air Force Base! Park at 4350 Las Vegas Blvd N, Las Vegas. ------ Nellis AFB has been a focal point for military training and operations, including the use of drones. To date, 24 - 30 U.S. MQ9 reaper drones have been destroyed in the war on Iran. Valued at 50+ million dollars each, when fully equipped, the cost of these losses accentuates the basic human needs that are being severely underfunded at home due to the unjustified and costly inhumane conflicts in Iran, Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, and elsewhere.
