About
Join us this weekend 8/8/26 for our weekly protest and school supply drive. Across the country, immigrant communities are under attack — targeted by raids, detention, and dehumanizing policies that tear families apart. These tactics are being weaponized as part of a broader authoritarian crackdown that threatens the rights and freedoms of everyone. This moment matters because the government’s attacks on immigrants are not only tearing families apart—they are setting dangerous precedents that threaten the constitutional rights of all Americans. When due process is denied to one group, the foundation of democracy itself is weakened. By coming together in public, peaceful resistance, we send a clear message: our communities believe in fairness, dignity, and accountability. As many of you know, it has been a particularly difficult week as ICE, CBP, ERO, and DHS continue to escalate their attacks on our immigrant neighbors including people in our community. We must stand for people like Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, Joan Sebastian Guerrero, and all of those being held in ICE detention. Our theme this week is twofold 1) to continue our push against the ICE violations of due process and human rights 2) to align with the goals of John Lewis GOOD TROUBLE weekend we are holding a school supply drive. Even if you can not stay for the entire protest, we’d love you to drop by with some school supplies, which will be donated to the Upcounty Hub for their school supply drive.
