📢 Tyranny Tuesday, August 11, 2026 📢 🚨 BILLIONS FOR CAGES, ZERO FOR DUE PROCESS: ✈️ ICE'S DEPORTATION MACHINE IS COMING THROUGH RENO — AND IT'S LAWLESS ⚖️ 😤 Let's be blunt: your tax dollars are funding a detention machine that a federal judge in our own state has called "lawless." While ICE cages our neighbors, Congress handed the agency a mandatory funding surge of $11.25 billion 💰 for detention alone a 400% increase 📈 that outstrips the entire federal Bureau of Prisons budget, even though BOP holds far more people. Tack on nearly $30 billion over four years to hire 10,000 new officers and hunt down our neighbors, and you get a $75 billion war chest built for one purpose: mass human warehousing. This isn't border security. It's a deportation-industrial complex, and it's being built on our watch. ⚖️ Washoe County Jail, the only ICE-contracted facility in Northern Nevada, has seen its daily detainee count explode from 16 to 46 people in just three months, a nearly 200% spike 📈. Local officials used federal money to build ICE its own "screening desk" right inside our jail, all to speed up processing of our friends and neighbors. 💸And when someone is marked for removal, some are walked straight through Reno-Tahoe International Airport onto commercial flights quietly, with almost zero public accounting of who, how many, or where they're being sent. 😢 ⚖️ And here's the part that should make every one of us furious: a federal judge already ruled this is illegal. In March, U.S. District Judge Richard Boulware II struck down DHS's mandatory no-bail detention policy as a violation of federal law AND the Fourth Amendment. ICE's response? Defy him. 🙅 Boulware has now had to order the release of 24 Nevada detainees across two separate rulings after finding ICE engaged in a "systemic pattern of noncompliance" dodging deadlines, shipping detainees out of state to escape jurisdiction, and denying constitutionally required bond hearings. His words, not ours: the government is "rebelling against the basic principle underlying our constitutional order." This is not normal, and we will not treat it like it is. Billions in blank checks for cages and chartered flights, while a federal court has to force ICE — again and again — to follow the Constitution it swore to uphold. Indivisible Northern Nevada is paying attention.✊ 📣 In addition to INNV's Tyranny Tuesday protest on August 11, we invite you to join our partner, BLAG (Biggest Little Action Group), for a peaceful protest August 14, 2026, at 17:30 (5:30) on the corner of Rock Blvd. and Mill St., in front of Stellar Aviation, to raise awareness about the ICE deportation flights out of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. ✈️ Here is the BLAG Mobilize Link for their event - https://www.mobilize.us/biggestlittleactiongroup/event/1003881/ 🙌 BLAG activists will be assembling on the sidewalks at the corners of Rock Blvd. and Mill St. and will not be blocking any traffic, or airport gates, or impeding law enforcement in any way.
