Help us bring the excitement about the 2026 straight to the streets of Ottawa County! We're looking for volunteers to march in local parades, like this one. It's one of the most fun, low-pressure ways to get involved — no experience needed, just enthusiasm and comfortable walking shoes. What you'll do: Walk the parade route with other Ottawa County Democrats and some of our candidates. You may be tossing candy to spectators (kid-friendly, non-choking-hazard candy), helping to hold our banner or wearing your favorite DEMOCRACY themed or candidate t-shirt. What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing, water bottle, sunscreen or a hat, whatever you feel necessary. What we provide: A great time and a chance to connect with your neighbors, friends and candidates! Saturday August 22. Line up opens at 9am on Lifeboat Lane off Main Street in Marblehead - next to Lucien Clemons Park and the Clemons Cemetery. There is ample parking available across from Lucien Clemons Park and in James Park (where the parade ends). Everyone and everything in your unit must be in your parade spot by 9:30am.
