New York, NY: Mayor Mamdani, Keep Your Campaign Commitments!
Wednesday, September 30, 2026, 12:00 PM EDT
New York City Hall Steps, New York, New York
About
On the campaign trail, Zohran Mamdani committed to fighting climate change in New York City. He promised to end Adams-era loopholes in the City’s landmark climate law, to protect kids from climate change with green, healthy schools, and to fight against fracked gas infrastructure. Nine months in, we haven't seen any progress on these key aspects of his climate agenda. **On September 30, we're heading right to City Hall to remind Mayor Mamdani of his commitments: cleaning up dirty emissions from buildings, creating green, healthy schools, and fighting fracked gas infrastructure.** As with every elected leader, it’s up to US to hold them accountable to ensure they’re addressing our needs. Filling potholes and fixing water fountains is wonderful, but we also need affordable energy, cleaner air, and planning to protect our future generations. Rally with us on the City Hall Steps on Wednesday, September 30, to tell him to keep his campaign commitments! _Sponsoring organizations: Food & Water Watch, New York Communities for Change, ALIGN, TreeAGE, NYPIRG, Rise & Resist, Sunrise Movement, Climate Defenders, Climate Defiance, Hot Girls Organize (list in formation)_
