Our 70th Stand Out celebrates LWV Unite & Rise for Voting Rights – a nationwide day of civic action inspired by the power of communities coming together to protect and strengthen our democracy. We rise together. We welcome you to be part of a nationwide movement for civic engagement and voter participation. ♥ Every Saturday! We’ll be in front of Winthrop School on Bay Road from 11 AM to noon. ♥ Just show up! Bring a sign or borrow one – we have extra signs to share! ♥ Whenever you can join us, and even if it is for a few minutes, you will be welcomed with a smile, valued and counted! ♥ Democracy is not a spectator sport and it feels good to do something with your community. On August 8, 2026, join the League and our partners as we host a nationwide day of civic action in honor of the anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Leagues and partners will lead hundreds of activations across the country centered on increasing voter engagement, turnout, and education, with particular emphasis on young voters and community partnerships.
