About
Moral Mondays-August 24th and 31st, 2026 The Sacramento Poor People’s Campaign (Sac PPC) and the Sacramento Services Not Sweeps Coalition (SSNSC) will jointly host two Moral Mondays on August 24th and 31st, 2026 from 10 am-12 pm. The link for the 31st is here: https://www.mobilize.us/cap25/event/1006061/ Moral Monday events will focus on public accountability and the impacts of the City and County of Sacramento and the administration’s policies, proposed budget cuts, and impacts on low-income communities. Specifically, the events will focus on the unhoused, the effects of homelessness and related programs, and policies allowing law enforcement agencies to engage in ongoing harmful sweeps, destruction of personal belongings, and continued displacement of people experiencing homelessness. The events will take place at two central locations in Sacramento, allowing the community to come together to promote and restore "moral narrative" in the public sphere to discuss issues impacting our unhoused neighbors: Monday, August 24 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Sacramento City Hall, 915 I Street. In the outdoor Plaza area. Monday, August 31 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors’ Building ( front outdoor area), 700 H Street, Sacramento, CA You can sign up for this one here: https://www.mobilize.us/cap25/event/1006061/ For more contact: Faye Wilson Kennedy [email removed]
