Protest the Rhode Island First Rally aka The Insurrectionist Circus

Join fellow Rhode Islanders to tell The Park Theater and Spectacle Live (the theater's owners) that you are disgusted with their choice to provide a platform for individuals associated with the January 6 Insurrection, election denialism, and extremist rhetoric before the upcoming Rhode Island First Rally or what we are dubbing "The Rhode Island First Insurrectionist Circus." Some members of the upcoming Rhode Island First Insurrectionist Circus include Vic Mellor and Rudy Giuliani. Vic Mellor, Congressional Candidate (RI-02), has not lived in Rhode Island for more than 30 years. Mellor has boasted of attending the January 6th insurrection and was photographed wearing a shirt reading “VIOLENCE MIGHT BE THE ANSWER.” Mellor has been actively involved in Michael Flynn's "Reawaken America" tour — a traveling event promoting election denialism, Christian nationalism, and vaccine conspiracy theories. Mellor is renting a home in Warwick to establish residency for his congressional campaign. Rudy Giuliani, Disgraced, Disbarred Political Operative, has piled up serious criminal charges primarily related to his illegal actions surrounding the 2020 presidential election in Georgia and Arizona. Giuliani is accused of participating in a criminal enterprise aimed at overturning the election including persuading public officials to illegally appoint alternate electors, conspiracy to commit forgery and impersonating a public officer. He has been credibly accused by many female former employees or coworkers of sexual harassment and abuse. Most notably, Giuliani was ordered to pay $148 million for defaming two Georgia election workers, leading to his bankruptcy proceedings. This is likely why he is touring the country to prop up election-deniers for his personal gain. Get creative! Bring your signs, noise makers, voice and friends! We will line the sidewalks of Park and Pontiac Ave (near the theater) to peacefully protest Vic Mellor, Rudy Giuliani and their supporters. We want them to know that Rhode Islanders support the constitution not Insurrectionists.
