About

Week 4: September 17 ELECTION PEACEKEEPERS INFORMATION SESSION: To meet challenges of vulnerable voters at polling locations, Peacekeepers provide a calm presence, to de-escalate potential conflicts and provide voters with practical voting support. Bring you creative ideas! We will be making posters for the HANDS OFF OUR VOTE Rally on Saturday. Event is at Catov park at the Pavillion in Exton. A core principle behind all Indivisible Chester County events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. Join us for a 10-week series focused on preparing for challenges that could affect voting and vote counting in November. Each week we’ll walk through different scenarios, share practical ways to respond, and build the community knowledge and preparation needed to make sure every vote is counted as well as support candidates on the ballot. Whether it’s targeting mail-in voting, interfering with registration programs, blocking vote-counting, it’s going to be no-holds-barred from them this year as they try desperately to block the free and fair elections. But we’re going to cut through the noise, and we’re going to be ready for whatever they try. And we’re going to do it with community power and preparation, not panic.
