Join Elders Climate Action Maryland for a Climate Rally outside the NIH Gateway Center in Bethesda to show Representative Jamie Raskin that Marylanders want bold climate leadership. Even as the climate crisis accelerates, some in Congress are engaging in "climate hushing," despite the fact that a clear majority of Americans believe urgent federal action is needed. That's why we're showing up. Whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned organizer, your voice matters as we build grassroots power and remind Congress that climate action can't wait. We are proud to be joining forces for this event with a local group that hosts weekly vigils at the NIH, and we look forward to a large, impactful turnout. We will gather at the NIH Gateway Center by the Medical Center Metro entrance on Rockville Pike. Please note that the Metro stations between North Bethesda and Friendship Heights are closed for construction. Free local shuttle buses are operating between all closed stations (North Bethesda, Friendship Heights, Bethesda, Medical Center, and Grosvenor-Strathmore).
