About
As Michigan students head back to school, families are getting hit twice — once by the rising cost of energy and extreme heat, and again by the cost of backpacks, books, and tuition. Michigan FIRE Action, Climate Power Action, Protect Borrowers, and Families over Billionaires are planning to gather in Lansing on Monday, August 24, at 11:00 AM Lansing River Trail at the southeast corner of Kalamazoo Street and Clippert Street (near Steakhouse Philly Bar & Grill), to bring together and spotlight local voices, students, families, and community partners paying the price, and put pressure on elected officials to address affordability instead of ignoring it during recess. We look forward to you joining us on the importance of hearing from families most impacted and why we need to take action now more than ever!
