About
This a local Indivisible event! The anniversary of the March on Washington will be remembered on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the Lincoln Memorial and with us in Reston/Herndon. The 1963 March was to advocate for voting rights and civil rights. This 63rd March is to Defend Voting Rights. We are bringing the spirit and purpose of the March to Reston/Herndon. Our objective is to remind everyone how important it is to protect voting rights and to remind everyone that Democracy is defended best by Voters. Join us at the South Reston Park & Ride (corner of Foxmill and Reston Parkway) at 12:00 on August 28th (Friday) – with signs celebrating Voting, Democracy, and remembering “the Dream” *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
