About
Stand up, show up, and make some noise for democracy! Saturday, August 22 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM Coe Park, Torrington, CT Northwest CT Take Action is hosting a vibrant, family-friendly Rally for Democracy. At a time when our democratic institutions, civil rights, and the rule of law face major challenges, it’s time to step off the sidelines and make our collective voices heard. We are gathering to peacefully protest policies that undermine accountability and to stand up for free elections, equal protection, and the right to hold our government accountable. Bring your energy, your passion, and your entire family to Coe Park, and let’s remind those in power that the people are paying attention. Signs, American flags, cowbells, drums, and your loudest cheering voices are all highly encouraged. You can even dress up in costume to help make this rally as visible, creative, and energetic as possible! This is a nonviolent, peaceful demonstration open to everyone across the region who believes in government by and for the people. Spread the word, invite your neighbors, and let’s stand together!
