About
On **Friday, August 28, 2026,** we gather at the Lincoln Memorial for the 63rd anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington, to **defend the vote, protect equal opportunity, and demand economic dignity.** This event is Co-chaired by Rev. Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King III, and Andrea Waters King, and co-convened by the National Action Network, and the Drum Major Institute, and a growing coalition of national partners, including Indivisible. The right to vote is under direct attack. This march stands on the same ground as 1963 because the work of that march remains unfinished. We will stand together, across generations and in large numbers, to show that we refuse to go backward. The event will begin at the Lincoln Memorial at 9:00am. [Official March on Washington website](https://marchonwashington2026.com/) IndivisibleHoCoMD will organize carpools. Departure times will be 6:30am, 7:00am, or 7:30am. Please watch for a follow up email after you register that will include a link to the carpool signup page.
