Keep the U.S. Out of Greenland!

Donald Trump keeps threatening Greenland! He has repeatedly stated his goal of annexing the autonomous territory from Denmark. Earlier this year, he even implied he was willing to use force. The threat was later retracted, but we know what his word is worth. Just last month, at the 2026 NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, Trump stated again that Greenland should be controlled by the US. Later that same month, a Texas-based company with ties to Trump moved drilling equipment into Greenland despite not having the necessary permits from the territory. Public pressure has forced them to promise to get those approvals before starting any drilling, but the potential that Trump will drag the United States into a conflict ostensibly over this company’s “rights” in another country cannot be ignored. This is why we need to stand up for our neighbor and say loudly and clearly, “Keep the US Out of Greenland!” Join us at the same time and location as our usual weekly demonstrations (Georgia Avenue outside Leisure World). Bring your signs. Bring your voice. Bring one of your own neighbors. Let's make some good noise as we take a stand for the rule of law, and for the rights of our neighbors to live in peace and security. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action.
