Congressional Recess POP-UP EVENT!

This a local Indivisible event! LC Valley Indivisible is holding a rapid response gathering on two urgent issues: a proposed $20 million purchase of electric shock gloves for immigration agents, and reports of severe supply and welfare problems facing our sailors aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln after 9+ months at sea. We’re standing up for basic human dignity – for the people ICE encounters and for the troops serving our country. We invite community members of all political backgrounds to join to protest the handling of these important issues. These, in fact, are stages of increased brutality, cruelty, and blind obedience. We must take a stand! *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
