### Ready to do the work that actually works? In 2024, our face-to-face voter registration model achieved a massive 79% voter turnout among the Texans we registered. We aren't just hoping for change—we have the blueprint to create it. Join Powered by People for a high-impact **Voter Mobilization** shift at **The Gina Hinojosa Rally in Floresville**! We are showing up to talk to voters, spark meaningful conversations, and make sure every eligible Texan is registered and ready to make their voice heard. At this event, we will: - Engage directly with voters in high-density, high-foot-traffic areas across the community - Register eligible voters on the spot - Connect with voters using **Reach**, our relational organizing tool, so we can personally stay in touch with them all the way to Election Day ### Voter Registrar Requirements - **All volunteers are welcome!** There are plenty of vital roles for everyone, _whether you are certified or not_. - **Important Note**: If you want to physically register voters at this event, you **MUST** be a certified Volunteer Deputy Registrar (VDR) in at least **Wilson County**. - _Not certified yet?_ Don't worry! You can still participate in outreach or get certified ahead of time by signing up for our [VDR Training](https://www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeople/event/908495/). ### Shift Schedule & Flow To ensure a smooth and high-impact day, please plan to arrive early for our team huddle. Here is what to expect during your shift: - **[6:00 - 6:30]: Team Huddle** | Arrive early to grab your materials, meet the team, and align on our goals for the event. - **[6:30 - 9:00 Voter Mobilization** | The main event! We engage community members, register voters, and get folks set up on Reach. ### How to Prepare Before you arrive, please make sure you attend our **[mandatory online volunteer training](https://www.mobilize.us/poweredxpeople/event/908390/)** on Zoom. This training will get you fully up to speed on the flow of our events and teach you exactly how to navigate the Reach app. ### What to Bring To set yourself up for a successful shift, please bring the following items: - Your fully charged smartphone with the Reach app already installed - A water bottle to stay hydrated - Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing - **If you are a VDR**: Your VDR certificate/number for the counties where you have VDR reciprocity _Note: Clipboards, pens, literature, voter registration forms, and training cheat sheers will be provided during the huddle_ Let's keep building our momentum across Texas.
