Richmond: Too Hot To Ignore: Honk 'n Wave for Climate!
Wednesday, August 26, 2026, 7:00 AM EDT
College & E. Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia
About
Join us for a Honk for Climate visibility event! We'll gather in our climate shirts with bold signs to show our support for climate action and let our community know we're counting on our leaders to keep fighting for a cleaner, healthier future. We're thanking Rep. McCellan for championing climate action and standing up for clean energy solutions. As attacks on clean energy continue in Congress, it's more important than ever to show that our communities stand behind leaders who are working to lower energy costs, create good-paying jobs, and protect our air, water, and public lands. Bring a homemade sign: Sign ideas: "Thank You, Rep. McClellan!" "Keep Fighting for Climate, Rep. McClellan!" "Too Hot to Ignore the Climate!" "Climate Can't Wait!" "Honk for Climate" Location: Meet us at the corner of E. Broad St. and College for climate sign waving & dancing during the morning rush hour. The location is just east of VCU Medical Center. Please arrive by Pulse to avoid parking complications (park in your favorite free store lot out Broad St - maybe Whole Foods). Register for Free T-Shirt! First 15 people to register and come out to wave signs with us will get a free t-shirt!
