📢 Tyranny Tuesday, September 1, 2026 🚨THE ART OF THE BAD DEAL: How Trump Is Wrecking America's Alliances — One Tantrum at a Time📉 📣Donald Trump promised to negotiate stronger deals for America. Instead, in a single month, he has blown up trade with Canada, threatened to bomb a longtime Gulf ally, gutted military exercises with South Korea to flatter a nuclear dictator, and renewed his threat to seize Greenland from Denmark, a NATO ally❗ This is not strategy, it is a pattern - friends treated as targets, adversaries treated as friends, and America left more alone and less trusted than at any point in generations. ✊CANADA: A BAD DEAL REJECTED On August 22, 2026, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney walked away from the negotiating table, refusing to sign a trade agreement he said asked Canada “to compromise its sovereignty.” Hours earlier, Trump had let 50% tariffs on billions of dollars of Canadian steel, autos, and other goods take effect against America's closest trading partner and a fellow founding NATO member. Carney did not blink. He called Trump's terms “a miscalculation” and told Canadians plainly: the storm blowing in from Washington is one “we cannot control.” Trump responded by telling Canada to “fall in line” or face consequences “far worse.” That is not how allies talk to allies. 💣 OMAN: THREATENING A PARTNER OVER HIS OWN FAILED WAR With his Iran war stalled and the Strait of Hormuz still closed, Trump threatened on national television to “bomb the s*** out of” Oman, a longtime U.S. security partner, simply because Oman was brokering a shipping deal with Iran that Trump did not control. Rather than own the failure of his own 60-day ultimatum to Tehran, Trump turned his fire on the ally trying to clean up the mess. ✊SOUTH KOREA: PUNISHING AN ALLY, REWARDING A DICTATOR Days later, Trump ordered the Pentagon to slash the annual Ulchi Freedom Shield exercises with South Korea, a 50-year alliance tradition, because Seoul declined to join his war on Iran. He said the drills were “hostile” to North Korea's Kim Jong Un, whom he praised as “unthreatening and respectful.” Kim's regime answered by test-firing ballistic missiles into the Sea of Japan while his sister publicly mocked Trump's retreat. Washington downgraded a treaty ally to appease a nuclear-armed dictator and got missiles in return. ❄️ GREENLAND AND NATO: THREATENING THE NEIGHBORHOOD Trump has repeatedly vowed to take Greenland from Denmark “the easy way” or “the hard way,” telling NATO allies at the Ankara summit that Greenland “should be controlled by the United States, not by Denmark” and floating the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Europe as leverage. Denmark's prime minister has vowed to defend “every inch of NATO, including our own territory.” Threatening to annex the sovereign land of a treaty ally is not deterrence. It is the kind of coercion America has spent 75 years organizing the free world against. 🔍 THE PATTERN IS THE POINT Take these threads together and the incoherence resolves into something else: contempt for democratic partners and admiration for strongmen 🤝. Canada, Denmark, South Korea, and Oman are treated as obstacles to be bullied. Kim Jong-un is treated as a friend to be flattered. An “America First” foreign policy that isolates America from every ally who ever stood beside it is not strength. It is the art of the bad deal and every American, along with every ally who trusted us, is paying the price. ✊ JOIN US 📅 Date: September 1, 2026 🕙 Time: 10:00–11:00 📍 Location: Bruce R.
