About
Monona Will Not Stop Defending Democracy and the Constitution The Government’s attacks on the Constitution and Democracy get worse every day. Trump’s army of sycophants is doing everything it can think of to undermine and destroy this country’s experiment in government by the people. Limiting voting, undermining elections, firing anybody who disagrees, attacking women and minorities, empowering billionaires, promoting data centers and A.I., starting wars, attacking our neighbors and our allies….the list goes on. Monona residents and others will again gather at the corner of Monona Drive and Nichols Road. Every other Saturday through October 31: September 5, September 19, October 3, October 17, and October 31. . 10 – 11 am. Nichols Road and Monona Drive. Vote as soon as you can. VOTE. We are winning, and we cannot let up. WE must remind the members of our community that they are not alone. We are not the crazy ones. We are not the ones bent on destroying democracy, ignoring the rule of law, bringing down the economy, and creating a fascist authoritarian state. Fewer and fewer people support the child-man in the Oval Office. He is a dangerous and embarrassing mean-spirited and selfish egomaniac. Join us. “My country always. My government only when it deserves it.” – Edward Abbey We cannot stop our efforts. The giant of popular opinion grows more powerful every day. We are pissed off. We are standing in opposition to this regime, and we are letting our neighbors know that they are not alone in their opposition. Join us. Every other Saturday: September 5, September 19, October 3, October 17, October 31. . 10 – 11 am. Nichols Road and Monona Drive. And VOTE. Encourage your neighbors, children, friends, grandparents, neighbors, to VOTE. VOTE November 3. SE we can gather on November 7 and celebrate. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
