About

First Friday Democracy Rally — September 4th! We’re doing it again — and this one is happening during the Minnesota State Fair! That means a whole lot more traffic coming through the neighborhood, a whole lot more visibility, and a great opportunity to fill the corners. We’d especially love a big turnout for this one. We’ll be back at Lexington Pkwy & Front Ave on Friday, September 4th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. These rallies are a simple but powerful way to show up: visible, friendly, hopeful, and determined. We’ll stand together for Democracy Defense, Voting Rights Protection, and Election Protection — and, as always, people are welcome to bring signs and messages about the issues closest to their hearts. Help us fill the corners! Bring a friend, bring your voice, and bring a sign if you have one. If you don’t, we’ll have extras to share. We’ll also bring our usual cheerful mix of bubbles, cowbells, good energy, and maybe even a little chocolate. New faces are very welcome. Returning rallyers are very appreciated. Look for organizers in pink vests and come say hello. Let’s take advantage of the extra State Fair traffic, build community, lift our spirits, and make some good trouble together. Friday, September 4th 3:00pm to 5:00pm Lexington Pkwy & Front Ave Please don’t park in TopLine’s parking lot. There’s lots of neighborhood parking just east of Lexington. Please share widely — and help us fill those corners! Sponsored by Comosapiens, a Hyperlocal Community Group *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
