Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain Trail - South Trailhead, Nehalem, Oregon
About
This hike is part of our new Neighbor Trail Spotlight Series! Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain offers STUNNING views of the North Coast. This out-and-back hike is 1.3 miles each way with an elevation gain of 800 ft. Skip the gym, this climb will pump up your heart rate! We will meet at the Neah-Kah-Nie Mountain Trail - South Trailhead located in Oswald West State Park at 10AM. The gravel road to the parking lot is unmarked. It is on the north side of Hwy 101, directly across from Sunset Dr. If the parking lot is full, there is parking along the south side of the access road. Please wear sturdy shoes, dress for the weather, and bring plenty of water/snack for yourself. Dogs are allowed, but not recommended. The trail at the viewpoint is narrow with difficult footing and can be dangerous for dogs and humans if the dog makes a sudden unexpected move.
