About
## ⚖️Protest NTT Mesa PH10 Data Center & the Mesa City Council **🚨Important Update🚨:** BBC LA News recently contacted Mesa Valley Indivisible after seeing our powerful online mobilization against the NTT Mesa PH10 data center. They confirmed they will be attending our October 5th protest, meaning national eyes will be right here in Mesa. **This is a critical moment.** We need a massive turnout to show the media—and Mayor Mark Freeman and the City Council—just how fiercely opposed we are to this data center and how unacceptable their ongoing suppression of Mesa residents truly is. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Mesa Valley Indivisible](https://www.mesavalleyindivisible.org/) officially teamed up with our sister group, [Indivisible Mesa](https://www.indivisiblemesa.org)—who has been leading the charge against Mesa’s 287(g) agreement and predatory data centers, like the planned 2.2 million sq ft [NTT Mesa PH10 Data Center](https://www.mesavalleyindivisible.org/no-mesa-ntt-global-ph10-data-center)—to make our voices heard at City Hall. [Read more information here](https://www.mesavalleyindivisible.org/no-mesa-ntt-global-ph10-data-center). As public turnout surged, city officials escalated their efforts to quiet community opposition: - **On June 8th**, security physically removed a peaceful sign-holder while ignoring the actual instigator (Watch video). - **On June 11**, MVI's Instagram was abruptly taken down less than an hour after we posted unedited footage of the police removal and tagged Mayor Mark Freeman and the other Mesa City Council members. - **On July 14th**, officials emailed groups days before a meeting claiming the project wasn't on the agenda to deter turnout. - **On July 16th**, the Council banned all signs and banners inside City Hall to crush public visibility. - At the next Mesa City Council meeting **on July 17th**, Police arrested a compliant protester for using a megaphone, slapping her with bogus charges that were later dropped. - Then, on **August 7th** when [Indivisible Mesa](https://www.indivisiblemesa.org) recently pressed the City Council coordinator for answers, the city shifted its story yet again! They claimed the councilmembers will not be voting on the data center at all and that NTT can proceed administratively, but only after grassroots pressure began mounting. If they won't let us show our signs inside, we will make sure they are impossible to ignore on the steps of City Hall. Mesa Valley Indivisible is pivoting this event to an outdoor protest starting at 5:00pm (meeting starts at 5:45pm). We will make our voices heard loud and clear from the outside! ## 📢 Calls to Action: **Whether or not you can attend, please do the following three things:** 1.
