About

## Our Mission No Kings Westfield: Defending democracy through nonviolent action, uniting community to reject authoritarianism, and affirming that power belongs to the people. ## Invitation and Affirmation All who believe in our mission are welcome to join us and by doing so affirm that violence and intimidation are never a solution – not on a nation-to nation level and not on a person-to person level – and all of us agree to conduct ourselves accordingly. This month's Saturday standout? Stand Out For The Vote! A month from this date, early voting for the 2026 general election begins. Bring VOTER INFORMATION and DEFEND THE VOTE signs to Park Square, talk to your neighbors, defend democracy! Voter resources will be available, and after we'll be walking down Elm Street during a local event, chatting with vendors and getting the word out. Parking may be limited downtown. Voter Registration Deadline: October 24 Vote by Mail Application Deadline: 5 p.m., October 27 Early Voting Period: October 17-30 --- Not able to stand out with us on Tuesdays or Fridays? We heard you! Join us for a last Saturday standout in Park Square from 11AM-12PM! Help us gauge interest to make this a regular event, meet your neighbors, and grow in democracy together. Leadership opportunity! Our Commitment No Kings Westfield is committed to peaceful, lawful resistance. We defend democracy through the power of organized community action, not confrontation. Core Principles Non-violent resistance is strategically effective De-escalation protects our movement, our community, and our message Peaceful persistence builds the broad coalition needed for lasting change At Events Remain calm and composed, even when provoked Do not engage with counter-protesters or hecklers If tensions arise, step back and find an organizer Our strength comes from disciplined unity, not individual reactions Remember: we're modeling the democracy we seek to protect Why This Matters Research shows non-violent movements are twice as likely to succeed as violent ones. Every act of discipline strengthens our cause and our community. If Confronted "We're here peacefully exercising our constitutional rights to defend democracy. Thank you for your concern." Questions or concerns? Contact an organizer immediately. We stand out in Westfield: To show our neighbors they are not alone To show our neighbors we will not be silent in the face of authoritarianism To build community and resiliency with existing organizations All are welcome. Please refrain from profanity on signs.
