[New Brunswick, New Jersey] Labor Day 2026: Workers Over Billionaires
Monday, September 7, 2026, 2:30 PM EDT
Starbucks - The Yard, New Brunswick, New Jersey
About
On Labor Day 2026, join with others in our community as we continue to defend what we still have and demand what we still deserve. Last year, Brian Niccol joined as Starbucks' new CEO. He got a $96M sign on bonus, then proceeded to collect an additional $10M in bonuses just two months after starting the position. Yet the average Starbucks barista makes a meager $15.95 an hour. Worse yet, Starbucks union busts by withholding performance bonuses from unionized stores, and targeting unionized stores in closures. Beyond wage theft and union busting, AI scheduling to squeeze the most out of baristas and Frappuccino mix recalled for containing silica powder show us Starbucks stands firmly on the side of billionaires, not workers. -- **Do your part to spread the word: Workers Over Billionaires this Labor Day.** *Note: A core principle behind all Labor Day events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. No weapons are permitted under any circumstances.*
