About
**BE ONE OF THE DANCING HIPPOS or WEAR YOUR OWN INFLATABLE COSTUME TO PROTEST HEALTHCARE CUTS FOR BILLIONAIRES** **DATE:** Saturday, September 12 **TIME:** 2:00pm **LOCATION:** Lake Street between Barstow and Graham **BRING:** Your inflatable or wear one of our hippos! We have healthcare banners and signs. You can also bring your own healthcare messaging. **BOWZER WILL HAVE HIS PIANO AND THE DRUMMERS WILL HOLD THE BEAT** while we sing fun songs like "We Need Healthcare, not another Billionaire" and "Good Night, Derrick, it's time for you to go." Van Orden and Tiffany want you to believe they're fighting for you. Meanwhile, they just voted to squeeze seniors on Medicare and Social Security — and stuck them with the bill. Do the math — it doesn't add up in your favor, and it's not an accident. It's a vote. **And it's exactly the kind of hypocrisy our Hippo-crites were built to call out.** Join us for a Rockin' Healthcare Accountability Rally featuring Jon "Bowzer" Bauman — legendary lead singer of Sha Na Na, now president of Social Security Works — as we call out Van Orden and Tiffany for making retirement harder instead of easier, for Eau Claire and La Crosse both. This is a rally with a message and a mini-march. Come ready to walk over the Lake Street Bridge and back. Our Hippo-crites will be riding along too. RSVP now to let us know you're coming. **NOTE:** We have six Hippo costumes, two blue elephants (for Van Orden and Tiffany), one Axiotl, one T-Rex, and a Chicken ... let us know if you'd like to be one of these ... We're looking forward to having a fun time together; we hope you can join us. The media will be there but this is one of our joyful events to undermine and dispel authoritarian gloom!
