About
There are SO many reasons we need to speak up to protect our environment! To name just a very few recent ones: The UN says we are blowing past 1.5 degrees as heat waves destroy crops and threaten lives. The fifth circuit court of appeals said that there is no constitutional right to clean and safe drinking water. The Trump administration wants to end the roadless rules in our national forest even as their own environmental impact statement says that this a terrible idea. The Oregon Treasury invests our PERS money in a variety of fossil fuel projects. And on and on... Bring your signs and your friends to help us rally for justice for our planet. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
