About
This a local Indivisible event! Please join us to welcome Tom Perriello, Democratic candidate for the 5th US Congressional District. He will address our prepared questions followed by an open Q&A. Thursday September 24, 7:30 pm 370 Unity Pl, Buckingham 23921 Sponsored by Indivisible Buckingham Refreshments will be served RSVPs are helpful for planning, thanks. Background: Despite our mutually agreed upon deadlines, the Buckingham Republicans, and incumbent John McGuire did not respond to our invitation deadline to a town hall that would include all the candidates. Our solution is this forum with Tom, in a private setting, organized by Indivisible Buckingham. Tom (TomPerriello.com) is very engaging with an exemplary background of public service. See also Wikipedia on Tom. This will be an opportunity to have an in depth conversation with him on a number of urgent issues that are weighing heavily on all of us. *A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.*
