Our country needs our help. Economic freefall and humanitarian crises are driving a wave election as Americans reject the illegal, disastrous war in Iran, cruel and lawless immigration actions, and destructive mismanagement of healthcare, trade, environmental, and other policies. But America’s free, fair, and safe elections are under an unprecedented threat from an authoritarian federal administration. Our best strategy to defeat voter suppression and put serious, sane, pro-democracy officials back in control of Congress is to make their victory so massive it can’t be denied. To do that, we need to organize and encourage everyone to get registered, check their registration, and make a plan to VOTE EARLY. Join IWQ to Shine the Light on just that! Some of us will hold posters while 1-2 people hand out early voting flyers to passersby. Join us at one of our two locations: -Sunnyside Greenmarket, Skillman Ave & 43rd St., from 10am-11am -Astoria, Steinway St. between Broadway & 31st Ave, near municipal parking lot, from 11am-12pm When you RSVP, email [email removed] to let us know which location and time slot you'd like to attend!
