About
HONK & WAVE - VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! Saturdays in OCTOBER THIS IS A 1 HOUR POP-UP PROTEST 10AM-11:00AM RAIN OR SHINE - DRESS FOR THE WEATHER. Join Multnomah East Indivisible (MEI) community members from Gresham, Wood Village, Troutdale, Fairview, Corbett! Gather at Gresham City Hall Plaza and either protest in place, or follow us as we march to the old Gresham Library ballot drop box. Join us in our goal of spreading how important it is to VOTE and vote early in the upcoming Mid-Term Election! YOUR VOICE MATTERS! We must vote people in that will protect democracy, protect the constitution and will have the guts to do what needs to be done to restore our rights and remove this wanna-be dictator from office! Make a sign and join us. Let your voice be heard and remind your neighbors they are not alone in their disgust of this regime. Let your Courage be Contagious! ICE OUT! - Everyday we see and hear about those who are being murdered, kidnapped, beaten, kept in cages and moved far from their families. People are being denied due process that is guaranteed under US laws. These folks are not criminals, they are people in our communities who are being denied basic human civil rights. We Stand with our Immigrant Families! Bring your signs, bring a friend, and meet fellow resistors. Remind yourself of your rights as a protester here: https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/protesters-rights A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
