SURJ Meet-up before the Non-violence parade in Youngstown, OH

JOIN US IN THE MARCH Sunday Oct 4 for the Non-Violence Parade and Rally, line-up at Wick Ave and Wood Street in Youngstown. Meet up at 2:30pm to step off for the parade at 3pm. Wear Orange! Find us by our six food "SURJ MV" banner. This is part of the Ohio Non-Violence Week, which is run locally by Sojourn to the Past, which has been doing amazing racial justice work in our community for decades. The parade goes down Wick Ave to the Youngstown Ampitheatre (201 S Phelps St). There is a rally at the Ampitheatre at the conclusion of the parade, with ETA conclusion about 4pm. We will have a car parked at the Ampitheatre and can drive folks back up to their cars if needed. - We know the best way to fight back now and build the power for the long-haul we need is to show up TOGETHER and invite our neighbors, community members, and fellow freedom fighters into action! That’s why we're calling this fall, our Fight Back Fall. We’re gathering SURJ members at dozens of protests, rallies, and marches across the country to canvass the crowd and meet new people – so we can grow – and inviting the people we meet in to a clear next action step – so we can keep up the pressure and fight the authoritarians. Local SURJ members and supporters are gathering for a pre-action meet-up, so we can connect with each other, march in the parade together, and stay connected for future actions and events! Can you join us?
