Protect Children, Not Predators: Protest Ken Paxton in Waco, TX

About

# Paxton the Pedo Protector is Not Welcome In Waco Ken Paxton tried to sneak into Waco and have an event on the down low, but he must have forgotten who we are. Earlier this year, Paxton's office offered Adam Hoffman (a former Waco attorney accused of repeatedly sexually abusing a young boy over **several years**) a plea deal that would have reduced the felony charge of continuous sexual abuse of a young child to two misdemeanors and required just **one day in jail**. The judge rejected that recommendation and ultimately sentenced Hoffman to 60 days. Hoffman was released after 29 days and did not have to register as a sex offender in Texas. This is a habit of Paxton's, apparently. A review of court records published this week found three other sex-abuse and trafficking cases handled by Paxton's office in which defendants received unusually lenient plea deals, including probation instead of prison time. ## We're going to make sure he knows that the People of Waco do not make space for pedophile and predator protectors. Join us for a peaceful protest outside Ken Paxton's event. Bring your signs. Bring your friends. Bring your voice. He wanted to keep this one quiet. **But silence has never protected the vulnerable.** Join us in making some noise. *This is a peaceful, non-violent protest! Follow all laws - stick to the sidewalks, do not protest in the street, and do not provoke or engage with event attendees or staff*
