About
IT'S TIME THE WORKING CLASS TAKE CHARGE OF GOVERNMENT! The labor movement has always been a rebellion — built by working people who refused to bow down, back off, or let the powerful call the shots. Across Ohio, union members and their family have been standing up to the donor class and running for offce to unrig our economy. This year, it's time to turn up that volume and bring the fighting spirit of working-class solidarity to the polls. For centuries, music, rebellion, and people power have come together in the fight for a democracy that belongs to ALL of us. We continue that tradition with the FOR THE PEOPLE RALLY! Come prepared for some good old-fashioned union solidarity. AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler American Federation of Teachers President Randi Weingarten plus other union leaders will be on hand to help motivate the labor movement to work the next week and a half to elect over a dozen union members, including Ironworker Brian Poindexter in CD 7. The night will cap off with an acoustic set by the Dropkick Murphys SHOW UP. BRING YOUR PEOPLE. GET TO THE POLLS. CAST YOUR BALLOT. STAND UP FOR EVERYONE'S RIGHT TO VOTE — AND MAKE DAMN SURE EVERY VOTE GETS COUNTED!!! Opportunities to sign up to volunteer will be available at the event. From canvassing fellow union families to volunteering to protect the vote on Election Day, we will need you to fight back against this regime in the White House. *RSVP does not guarantee entry if event hits maximum capacity. Doors open at 4:00pm, with the Brute Squad, an all-union band, starting us off at 4:30pm. The Dropkick Murphys are planned to take the stage around 6:00pm.
