About
This November, it’s going to take all of us showing up at our polling locations, in our counties, and at the state capitol to protect free and fair elections, so that WE, the everyday people of North Carolina, get to decide our future. We’ve already seen how people in power in our state and in the White House are trying to silence Black and brown voters, students, working people, and anyone who disagrees with them. Our democracy is under attack but we’re not backing down! On election day, and on a few other key dates in November, we’re coming together - with unions, community organizations, houses of worship, friends and neighbors - to exercise and defend our right to vote. In order to protect our democracy, it’s important that everyday North Carolinians show up at key moments in the election certification process to show those in power that we are watching: Tuesday, November 10th: Last day for voters with absentee or provisional ballots to “cure” their ballots and make sure they are counted. We’ll come together in our counties that evening, as the County Boards of Elections begin the process to certify county results, to thank the election officials who are working hard to make our democracy run, and to send a clear message to count every vote. Tuesday, November 24th: Deadline for the NC State Board of Elections to certify all the NC election results. We’ll rally at the State Board of Elections on Halifax Mall, in Raleigh, ready to defend our vote, and to welcome our newly elected officials with a mandate for a North Carolina that works for all of us. Sign up here to let us know you’re in, and we’ll follow up with more details!
