About

On November 18, world leaders gather in Shenzhen, China for the APEC summit. Trump plans to meet Xi Jinping there. So on November 14, we march from the Capitol to the White House, demanding Trump and Xi make a deal to stop the AI arms race. The CEOs of OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind have [signed a statement](https://www.safe.ai/statement-on-ai-risk) warning that AI poses a risk of human extinction. Each says it can't slow down while the others race, and while China races. Only a deal between the US and China can break that deadlock. We're not asking either country to stop alone. We're asking both to stop together, with verification. The same day, we march in San Francisco and New York.
