Erika Kirk, the current CEO and board chair of the far-right organization Turning Point USA is coming to Fayetteville, October 28th to visit Fayetteville Christian School (FCS). Erika really needs no introduction. Some parents who have children enrolled at FCS [have voiced concerns](https://www.cityviewnc.com/stories/erika-kirk-visit-to-fayetteville-christian-school-concerns-some-parents/) over the presence of such a controversial figure, leaving questions as to the safety of the visit. This is NOT a protest of a school. Although FCS is a private school, it [received $4.7 million taxpayer dollars this year](https://unwall.app/eu.fayobserver.com/story/opinion/2026/07/31/in-nc-private-school-vouchers-rising-publics-falling-opinion/91059209007/) through a voucher program. Meanwhile, our public schools are facing a funding crisis with some schools being targeted for closure. - Why is a taxpayer-supported school endorsing the appearance of a wildly controversial Christian Nationalist during school hours? - Who is making decisions at FCS? - Is Turning Point USA involved in decision-making at FCS or other private schools receiving taxpayer dollars? - Are the kids safe with her around? ## Let's give Erika the welcome she deserves. Bring your signs and let it be known this is not acceptable in our community and she is not welcome here. _FRC is committed to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. NC State Law prohibits this, as well as numerous local ordinances throughout NC, to include Fayetteville._
