It's All Hallows Eve so Let's Have a GOTV Halloween Rally! (Originally scheduled for 3 hours but reduced to 2 hours so we can get on with the rest of our Halloween plans.) Voting Is How We Wield Our Power and it's up to us to spread the word. Costumes are encourage but leave your weapons at home. Let's continue our GOTV rallies beyond 10/17 AND make sure our Clackamas County voters know about the HAPPY VALLEY LIBRARY VOTE CENTER, County Clerk McMullen opens temporarily during elections. This is where we can get a replacement ballot, drop off our ballots or VOTE IN PERSON! We'll also be organizing a BUBBLES & BELLS rally on 11/3 near the Happy Valley Library Vote Center from 5-8pm so bring your bells and let's make some joyful noise and bring attending to the fact that the election ends on 11/3 at 8pm. WHY: Voting in numbers too big to ignore will discourage those that want to deny our voices. We also need to encourage every eligible voter to sign up for TRACK YOUR BALLOT so they can cure their ballots if their signatures don't match. Power does not belong to billionaires, strongmen, or politicians who believe they are above accountability. It belongs to us the Super Hero voters, but only if we use our SUPERPOWER voting rights. A core principle behind all Indivisible and Good Trouble Lives On events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
