About
This Día de los Muertos, join us to honor and remember the lives taken by ICE and Border Patrol and the lives of our Palestinian Siblings taken by the Genocide which is currently being committed by the US and Isreal. We demand an end to the violence. We'll gather and grieve publicly for the people who have died in ICE custody and been killed by ICE and Border Patrol agents, drawing on the Día de los Muertos tradition of honoring loved ones. We will also be gathering to honor the lives of our Palestinian siblings taken by the IOF which is actively committing a Genocide and ethnically cleansing Palestine. This action is part of End the ICE Age, a national day of action happening in cities across the country. Our community Altar will be built on November 7th at Noche de Altares in Santa Ana, CA. We're demanding Congress get ICE out of our communities, redirect ICE funding, and shut down ICE detention centers for good. We are also demanding that our government stop sending our Tax Dollars and Military Weapons support to the apartheid state of Isreal. End the Genocide and Free Palestine. A core principle behind all Disappeared In America events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
