🐶 SAVE THE DOGS PROTESTS — HOUSTON The George R. Brown Convention Center is hosting the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) Conference from October 26–29, bringing together organizations and researchers involved in animal experimentation. We’ll be outside speaking up for the dogs and all animals used in laboratories as attendees leave: • Monday, October 26 • Tuesday, October 27 • Wednesday, October 28 ⏰ 4:30–6:00 PM 📍 Meet at Root Square Park at 4:10 PM. Running late? Head directly to the George R. Brown Convention Center and look for protesters outside. 📣 First timers are welcome! We provide signs, materials, megaphones, and chants. You can hold a sign, learn to chant, or simply hang out with us. No experience or special knowledge is needed. These demonstrations will also highlight the national Save the Dogs campaign. Marshall BioResources (MBR), the largest U.S. breeder of purpose-bred beagles for research, will be present at the conference. While the dogs are a major focus of this campaign, we are there to speak up for all animals subjected to experimentation. If you can’t attend, there will be other ways to participate. We’ll also have a group chat for anyone who wants to attend, help remotely, or learn more. This is a unique opportunity for Houston to contribute to a national campaign and ensure the animal testing industry does not operate quietly in our city. 🐶 Save the Dogs: https://savethedogs.io/ Message me with any questions. Everyone is welcome!
