About
This week we will be partnering with our allies from Genesee Valley Citizens for Peace. As part of the Interstate Midterm Bannering Project, GVCP will be displaying banners illustrating the many reasons for voting this year. Bannering will begin at 11 a.m. and continue through the end of the rally at 1 p.m. This November we can retire Rep. Claudia Tenney (R) and send Alissa Ellman to Congress. Let's stand up one more time for Alissa! In light of recent ICE activity in our area, including the detention of a long-time and beloved resident of Mt. Morris, let's also stand up to demand a stop to ICE cruelty. Bring your best signs for Alissa Ellman and to demand an end to ICE Cruelty. And bring a friend. A core principle behind all “Stand Up, Fight Back” events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
