About
What if the greatest threat to democracy isn't the people trying to destroy it, but the rest of us forgetting how to sustain it? The election is over. Now it's time to get to work restoring democracy. Democracy Action Lab and STAND Learning invite you to join Democracy Is a Learned Practice, a five-session beta workshop exploring how we develop the judgment, confidence, relationships, and capabilities needed to sustain a democratic society. Based on Michael Freedman's new book, this interactive experience goes beyond reading and discussion. Together, we'll examine freedom, power, personal agency, interdependence, and stewardship—and practice working with others to turn learning into meaningful action. Mondays: November 9, 16, 30; December 7 and 14 Time: 6:00–7:30 p.m. Location: Grass Valley (provided upon registration) Cost: Donation-based. Book and workshop materials provided. Register: [email removed]
