Join us at Phinney Center’s annual Día de los Muertos celebration as we honor the lives taken by ICE and Border Patrol and demand an end to the violence. Volunteers from NDLON’s Adopt a Corner and other hyperlocal groups will honor those lost on the community ofrenda. Information on ways to support those most impacted locally will also be available. Our presence at this event is part of End the ICE Age, a national day of action happening in cities across the country. We’re demanding that Congress get ICE out of our communities, redirect ICE funding, and shut down ICE detention centers for good. A core principle behind all Disappeared In America events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
