About

Have you ever wanted to get involved and make a difference in your community…but weren’t really sure where to start? Well, here’s your chance! Concerned about data centers coming into our neighborhoods? The impact on our environment, water, energy bills, peace and quiet? You’re definitely not alone. DC BLOX is asking for over $100 MILLION in tax breaks for its proposed data center on Indy’s east side. On November 9, the City-County Council committee will be considering that request, and we need to PACK THE ROOM! Never attended a council meeting? No worries! You don’t need to know anything about how these meetings work, and you don’t have to speak. Just show up, WEAR RED if you can, and grab a seat with your neighbors. That’s it! If you’re nervous about going alone, need a ride, have questions, or just want someone to meet you outside and walk in with you…please reach out! We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable showing up. We really need to fill every seat in that room. Bring a friend, invite your neighbors, share this event…whatever you can do to help us get people there. SHOW UP❗️WEAR RED ❗️ PACK THE ROOM❗️ Organized by Eastside Community Action Against Data Centers, a grassroots group of neighbors working together to protect our communities and make sure our voices are heard.
